Welcome to IEEE MLSP 2024

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 34th IEEE International Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing (IEEE MLSP 2024), which is held from September 22 to 25, 2024, in London, United Kingdom.

The IEEE MLSP is the oldest and most respected technical event sponsored by the MLSP Technical Committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. Its primary objective is to bring together leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in machine learning (ML) for signal processing. The IEEE MLSP 2024 will also examine the potential applications of ML-driven signal processing techniques, such as those in wireless communications. Our specific goals include:

  • Showcasing the most recent and exciting advances in ML-empowered approaches for signal processing.
  • Identifying emerging trends and setting research directions for the future of the field.
  • Providing a platform for experts, researchers, and industry professionals to exchange ideas and insights face-to-face.
  • Publishing high-quality research that advances the state of the art in machine learning for signal processing.

IEEE MLSP 2024 features six captivating and timely keynote talks delivered by world-leading scholars from reputed universities and companies. In addition, the workshop will include four tutorial sessions, two industry panels, and several lecture and poster sessions led by experts in various areas of machine learning and signal processing. This year, we received 249 valid submissions, of which 125 papers were accepted for presentation and publication after a rigorous peer-review process.

The workshop will take place in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building on the South Kensington campus of Imperial College London, UK. The Sir Alexander Fleming Buildings is located in the heart of our South Kensington campus and has a selection of lecture theatres and classrooms, which can be used for training, seminars, conferences and meetings. A large, light and airy foyer can also be used as a reception area for up to 150 people. The workshop venue is easily accessible, and detailed transportation information is available online at https://2024.ieeemlsp.org/venue. Additionally, the location is conveniently close to some of London’s top attractions, such as Hyde Park, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Natural History Museum. September in London typically offers pleasant and cool weather, making it an ideal time to visit London.

We thank the IEEE Communications Society for its co-sponsorship of this event. We also thank the IEEE Signal Processing Society MLSP Committee for their strong support. The general chairs extend their gratitude to all other organizers for their valuable contributions, including D. Gunduz, P. L. Dragotti, E. Chouzenoux, L. P. Garcia, Y. Chen, V. Saligrama, S. Sanei, Z. Ma, W. Wang, A. Sarwate, A. Repetti, T. Stathaki, S. Vlaski, W. Dai, S. Zhou, and S. Wang.

We look forward to welcoming you to London for an engaging and enriching IEEE MLSP 2024 workshop.
